Quiz is as Quiz does!

In Supply chain we had a quiz. that really took the whole of class time. Before it we spent about 15 minutes asking questions about the way to do things on the practice examples. Here's a confession. I did not look over it at all, I didn't do the problems. I only did the problems in class and then looked at the formulas for the practice problems for about ten minutes and then the ten minutes of class (I was late to class) and I got a 30 out of 30. Yup 100% and I was one of the top five done. It really was easy.

Outside of class:
Brother Eager came in and talked to our marketing teams. I was pretty much out of that. Basically he spoke about the creative art students that will be assigned to us and how we need to prepare for that. It really isn't that important to us. But we'll see how that pans out.
We also worked on out business plan and then I had to go home.

Personal work:
I was called as web design/marketing manager. (As you can tell, I love the web. I have facebook, twitter, youtube, myspace, two blogs, I use Dial2do, google docs, scribd.com and docstoc.com. The internet and I get along very well. I ask it a question and it tells me what I need to know.) I have started doing this from day -200. I started to look into the rules for web business. I took a couple web design classes and web business classes. I talked to Brother Bob Reed and got our byui.net website created and gave me ultimate rights to it. I'm excited but I've already come up some roadblocks. I can't seem to get into my page to edit it at all. But from what I have seen is that I can alter html and that we should be able to do paypal checkout and shopping carts. This is going to revolutionize the IBC experience forever. You're Welcome!

Blind Dates and Lasers!

Happy Groundhog day to you all. It appears Phil saw his shadow, what a surprise 6 more weeks of winter... But he made a special forecast for the Rexburg Idaho area. 6 more months of winter!

Finance
Today we started off with Finance and the wit and sarcasm that is Brother Andrews was in full bloom. He discussed with us the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and was going to get to Statement of Cash flows but didn't. there are videos available that he made that he says WILL surely bore us to death. I'm not sure I want to die so soon. Nothing spectacular happened except for the Blind Date Brother Andrews set Erin Olpin up on. She was told that she was going on a date with a guy to a fancy restaurant in a sweet souped up, decked out, pimped to da max, hummer and the guy says over dinner he's worth $2 million. Being the smart girl she is, she asks how much he owes... $1995000. It was a great object lesson to the balance sheet.

OB
Brother Holt talked to us about our personal goals and how he wants them to be stretching and he mentioned yet again, not to talk to anyone about them. He gave some examples of what he doesn't want... "Go to the temple 2 times.", "Write in my journal", "Get Healthy" etc. It really has to fit the SMART format.
We have been given 2 new assignments to go along with the powerpoint presentation we were talking over on Friday and finished today.
1)Plan 10-15 minutes days formally planning my day from now on
2)spend 5-7 hours doing my productivity pyramid.
It was another great class. For more quotes, revert to my Friday's post where the link to the powerpoint is at.

Here is our logo and by clicking on it, you can see our company's mission statement. We also turned in our team mission statement and individual mission statements.
