After all that Brother Clark took some time to explain to us how we are following into the same patterns as the Nephites did pre-coming of Christ...

3rd Nephi 6:11, 8, 10 – Many Merchants vs. Alma 23:17-18 – Industrious

Compare to [Video1]
And [Video2]

Isn't that a bit scary?

Benihana and Back to the Future

Supply Chain:
Today we had another simulation. The Benihana Restaurant. We were supposed to learn about batching, but that was lost somewhere. Mainly what we got out was there are so many things that go into a simple supply chain experiment. I got these numbers and found out together it was really lame. Here's what I got and then the better choice:

1.) Use Batching
2.) No Batching 79-11
3.) 59-69-67
4.) 2x-Happy-5:00pm
5.) sh/8/sh

Better choice:
1.) 8/8/8
2.) 75/11
3.) 50/50/50
4.) 1.8X-HAPPY-5:00PM

I hope that helps some of you get a better amount in the end.

Finance:
Today I didn't pay too much attention to, and it looks as though I won't for a while. After mocking out businesses for the 5th day straight, Brother Andrews went on to discuss the fun of future values. Seriously, I have had this material 3 times already. (Math 108, CIT 140, and Accounting 202) I think I understand it fairly well. The assignments were a cinch seeing that all I had to do is pull up my old excel files with the calculators and turn those in. If you had heeded my warning for the weekend, then you too would have been alright.

Midterms

Marketing:
We got our midterm assignment today. The case was open to us and... well basically, we could use the time right then to read it, but that wasn't going to happen since everyone mostly got up and started to either leave or meet with the company. So class was only a few minutes long.

Out of class:
Yesterday (President's Day) we got the two embroidery machines out and started working on them. I went to watch as well as work on the website. Over the weekend I had tried to get the Smart Box to work, I got it to work once on my wife's computer but then it stopped. I got some graphics off the cards, but it really wasn't any help. those pictures were really lame.
