Would You Like to Take a Survey?

I didn't feel like this was a very productive week. We went over our survey questions that we came up. We now have a comprised list and I'm taking them to Brother Shiley to have them looked over for Tuesday's meeting. So with that being it, I don't feel like we accomplished much. I certainly didn't feel like I learned anything new. This next week will be better, but with the simple task of comprising a survey wasn't that effective in my eyes. Well That's really it. Nothing more. Minimal progress, no learning, and only few tasks, but all completed to the best of my abilities.

Networking with Marketing

This week was one amazing trip for my personal project. In our AMA (American Marketing Association) we had a mini networking dry run. In the meeting on Thursday, we had Elder Pothier there. It was nice to see him there, but I've seen him so many times and I never know what to say to him. We also had a guy from Policy Tech there and I've heard a lot about his company from previous classes. But the big one was James Zolman. He's an Internet marketer. He told us of what he does for a living. It sounded like a really tough job, but totally fun. James get's calls from companies each week asking him to work for them. So what ever he does, works well enough to be wanted by the companies that I'm interested in.

I started to follow him on Twitter and LinkedIn.com the moment he brought it up in the networking meeting. I'm very excited. He told a few of us about a weekly meeting with members of the community that meet on Tuesdays to talk about Internet Marketing. I'll be going this Tuesday to try it out. I'm going to be writing a lot of questions for them to answer.

Other than that, this week was filled with more videos on SEO and I'm learning more about what goes into making for good websites and what tools are used by the pro's. By using the tools and understanding them, I will soon become to Pro.

This is really helping my progress to become more employable, which really is my end goal. If I get employed by a big company doing SEO and SEM and SMM, I'll feel I did all this work and all of my classes in college were worth the time I put into them. I'll keep you informed as to what happens this week.

EXCITED!

Lessoned Learned: This is very possible to do. I had my doubts that this was "quick and easy money". Not likely at all. I'm glad to have learned that it took time and it takes some real hard work to make this type of marketing work. It's a lot of searching and finding out what's just right. We'll keep going, because it's worth the hard work.
