OB:After reading Habit 5 from Seven Habits, "Seek first to understand then be understood" we talked about communication. Here's a great song and video. It's in Japanese and from the Gundam Wing series. I have been on a Japanese kick lately so if you don't want to, you don't have to. We went over this slideshow about communication and then played a game.
The Slideshow is missing a few new slides that didn't get uploaded. One of which was an audio clip from Salt Lake, where a lady had ended her traffic report with, "...and I say these things in the name of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, Amen!" I wish you could have heard that. Maybe I'll have Brother Holt upload the new version.The game we played was much like Telephone. One guy was really bad. I couldn't believe he had messed up so bad, but I know now not to ever use him as a go-between for any important communication. Although it would be fun to try to use him in a prank. You could openly state you were going to be sabotaging his company at a specific time and place and he would definitely get it wrong. The more details, the more confused he'd get.
Outside of class:
Things are picking up and we should be getting the new "Smart Boxes" soon to do some really cool stuff. I hope to make my own beanie with my two symbols on it.
